Objective

Advanced Technology for the Future Polyurethane Industry

Polyurethane has led the drastic change in our lives and established a solid position as an essential material in the society more than 80 years since its discovery. Polyurethane has continued to grow and develop, supporting our affluent lifestyles by providing functions that meet the changing needs of the times. In addition, polyurethane is an indispensable material for realizing themes such as health and the environment, and there are high expectations for the development of a wide range of products using polyurethane as a material.

In this forum, we invite Dr. Ulrich Liman, Former Supervisory Board member at Covestro who has been making efforts to develop and promote polyurethane materials, and Prof. Hiroshi Uyam at Osaka University, a leading expert on sustainable technology in Japan and they have keynote speech on "Polyurethane in a Circular Economy" and "Bio-based Polyurethane for Sustainable Development", respectively. We will also invite professionals from various fields to give lectures, and we hope to contribute to the further development of the polyurethane industry as well as to the development of the industry by gathering a wide range of people from raw materials, machine manufacturers, end users, universities, public institutions, and other industries. We would like to inform you of the outline of the event, hoping that it will be a meaningful opportunity to exchange opinions for future growth.
